Roseanne West
"New Works" May 10 - 24, 2008

Let Roseanne West remove the grey lens from your eyes that dulls the senses and tones down colour. Her work restores the raw vibrancy of the objects that share our world. From waves crashing on a tumultuous shore, to a dignified still life on a kitchen table, everything brought under West’s gaze demands attention, springing back to radiance and life. The world is far too intense to be reduced to greyscale – why not enjoy the ride?

"New Works"

Show Opening Saturday September 22 - October 6, 2007
Artist in Attendance: 2pm - 5pm Saturday 22nd

How much change can occur before we lose that sense of a special place?

On one level my paintings are a simple playful exercise relating to puzzles and games. On another they are a serious critical response to the rampant change that is occurring everywhere. It is like a visual essay, an effort to add my voice to the chorus, only I work with images instead of words.

Helen Rogak Returns
"New Works" March 15 - 29, 2008

Reminiscent of the finest Impressionists, and suggestive of warmth and tranquility, Helen Rogak's work is nostalgia personfied. The images are soothing and clear, as though remembering images from a gentle dream - simultaneously clear and hazy, just as the edges of reality blur when you close your eyes and recall a favourite memory and place. Through her painting, Helen creates a visual connections to archetypal and shared memories of lazy days spent with friends and family.

John Sayer
"From the Imagination of John Sayer" April 12 - 26, 2008

“My paintings reflect both conscious and subconscious thoughts. They are both visionary and surrealistic, making comments on life or about life. While I do not try to interpret all of them, hopefully they will strike the viewer with wonder, which I feel is one of the prime functions of art.” – John Sayer

Kensington Fine Art Gallery invites you on a journey to the edge of the world with John Sayer. John’s work transports the viewer through the looking-glass into a shadowy dreamscape that brings chills along with the glimmer of familiarity. The images in our dreams that remind, haunt, tease, and excite us spring to life on John’s canvas. Unlock the secrets of the subconscious – the truth is not only out there, it’s right in front of you.
